3D Scanning Services For Film
Superscan 3D specialise in 3D scanning services for film production. We use the very latest mobile 3D scanning technology to achieve incredible scan accuracy (up to 0.5mm resolution). Our compact state of the art equipment enables quick setup and tear down. This means we can quickly acquire the 3D assets you need, without taking hours to set up (In and out with no fuss!).
Having worked in production for many years, we have a strong understanding of the industry and general production needs. We are very use to working ‘On-Set’, ‘On-Location’ or ‘In-Studio’, and are highly familiar with production etiquette. Additionally, we take intellectual property very seriously, hence we are happy to work under appropriate NDA agreements.
Using one of the worlds most powerful mobile scanning systems, we are able to 3D scan objects in very high detail (up to 0.5mm resolution) and in 24-Bit colour! This data is then converted into a high resolution on-screen 3D digital models. This data can then be output in various file formats (STL, OBJ, FBX, PLY etc) for use with 3D Printers, CNC Milling Machines or CAD. Hence we also specialise in Physical Output Services such as 3D Printing and CNC Milling, thus enabling us to provide a complete end-to-end managed solution where required.
There are three main 3D scanning technologies that we used:
- Photogrammetry 3D scanning (for 3D body scanning)
- 3D laser scanning (for 3D set scanning and large objects)
- Hi-Res LED white light scanning (for props, construction, set-dec and costume).
